There are 3 kinds of death. Physical death, Spiritual death, Eternal death.
Let’s talk about life after death. I believe there is life after death, we don’t just cease to exist. The BIBLE makes it clear so for those that do not believe in the BIBLE they are in for a Big Ugly Awakening. The human race started with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and there because of rebellion they sinned and suffered Spiritual Death. They ate of the only tree GOD told them not to.
Rebellion, sin, believing a lie told to her by the snake/satan. Eve chose to eat something she “saw” that she was told not to eat of and she gave it to her husband also. Adam chose to eat the fruit also even though he had been told by GOD not to eat of that tree. Now the BIBLE does not say that Adam was gone when the snake was talking to Eve so he must have been right there so why didn’t he step in and say be gone snake? My question is why didn’t he say GOD TOLD US NOT TO EAT OF THIS TREE??? Hmmm, just a question I have. No answer to it right now.
GOD had told them if they ate of the tree they would die. They did die a Spiritual death. We were created by GOD in His image. (Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; … NKJV) We were created with a Body-Soul-Spirit.
Our spirits were created to walk with GOD in communion with him. To talk with Him, worship Him, and be at peace. GOD had said if they ate of the tree they would die and they did die a Spiritual death. They were removed from the garden.
They died a Spiritual death but not body or soul. The First sin was committed and our Spirits died. Spiritually dead can not pass on what they do not have. After Adam and Eve sinned and their spirits died they still lived and had children. Cain and Able had carnal spirits in them. They both learned About GOD but only one chose to follow what GOD required. And so it went down the generations until GOD’S great love for humankind stepped in.
GOD’S love for us to walk in communion with Him once again had Him send His Only Son to us. JESUS came to restore that communion with the Father, to restore the Spirit life to those that would believe. (John 3:16 & 17 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. NKJV)
Our bodies were created in the image of GOD. We are the only temples we will ever need. (1 Corinthians 3:16 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? NKJV)
Our souls were created to live forever. We can choose to live with GOD or without GOD. Not really choosing is NOT an option. With GOD is to live in Eternal Heaven. Without GOD is to choose Hell. Our spirits were created to live in communion and relationship with GOD, to love GOD and others. The original sin killed our Spirit walk with GOD…BUT GOD.
BUT GOD so loves the world (you and me) He sent His Son to restore that Spirit. To breathe life back into us if we will accept it. So whosoever will believe-repent-ask-and receive His full Grace, Mercy, and Salvation. (Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;… NIV) Accept GOD’S precious gift of His Son and live in love and constant spiritual companionship through the Holy Spirit. (John 14: 26 But the counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. NIV)
Do you have that assurance of Eternal Life with GOD when your body and soul leave this earth?
