Good Morning or whatever time it is for you. I wanted to get the GOOD in there first thing because today I am going to talk about some BAD news first. I will get back to the GOOD news by the end though.
Yesterday, I posted about Good news, and actually, this is a continuation of that post. The BAD news raises its ugly head—like a fungus, an insidious mold, a toxin to seep in and steal and suffocate our minds, spirits, and souls. Satan is always in attack mode and he uses little things, tiny moments to plant tiny seeds of discontent, envy, anger, pride, lust, hurt—you get the picture. He works hard to plant these seeds into our minds where they grow into big weeds/ strongholds.
GOOD NEWS pops up again—The word of God tells us how to handle this: DEUTERONOMY 6:5-9 Love the LORD your God with All of your heart and with All of your soul and with All of your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home, and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.
WHOA DEUT.— what great advice. The devil attacks your heart, your soul, and your strength. It all starts in our minds. He attacks when you are sitting at home when you are out somewhere, going someplace when we are resting, and most assuredly when we get up to start our day.
So it stands to good reason that if we do what we talked about yesterday and meditate on God’s Word we have protection against the attacks. We do what it says in Deut. We write it on our minds, on notebooks, little cards. We memorize it and speak it out loud.
Maybe our day can begin with: Psalm 5:3
In the morning, O God, you hear my voice. In the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. 
It works great for early morning prayer time. Even if you don’t have time to do your prayer time in the morning it is an easy verse to memorize and speak it out in the mirror when you first get up. Start your day with this prayer and some good Praise and you can’t go wrong…can you?
Now if you are thinking “Oh, good, I’m not having issues in any of these areas, I am not being attacked.” (whew) Ok, if not then WHY NOT?
Satan doesn’t have to bother with you or your family if he’s already got you. If you are already ‘world-a-sized’. (Ha, I made up a word—why not) Everyone makes up their own truth now, don’t they? And to be politically correct and not hurt anyone’s feelings we are to accept it—right? A whole different topic and one I am not going to address; not today.
Satan attacks with smoke and mirrors. It is stealth, it is sneaky, it gets in with little seeds and grows, and grows. It takes over our minds and our lives with weeds of untruth. IF WE ALLOW IT.
It takes over our homes, our families, our friendships, or lack of them. It is in our schools, our churches, our government. It comes across on TV, radio, music, podcasts, the list goes on and on. We watch our children as it sneaks in and takes over their lives and wrecks them.
GOOD NEWS AGAIN— we don’t have to let it! Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV) I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you;
RENEW YOUR MIND. God will give you a new heart, a new spirit— just ASK HIM. Ask Him, Receive it, Believe it AND Rejoice.
ROMANS 12:1-2 (TEV) So then, my brothers, because of God’s great mercy to us I appeal to you: Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to His service and pleasing to Him. This is the true worship that you should offer. Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to Him and is perfect.
God’s Mercy and Grace—a new mind.
ASK—RECEIVE—BELIEVE—REJOICE
To protect yourself and your family— don’t conform to the world. WORLD-A-SIZE Submerge yourself and your family in God’s word. NO room for smoke.
